If you choose to switch subscription plans, when will you be charged is dependent on the plan you're switching to as well as other factors. We've outlined all cases below to explain how your billing schedule will change.
Switching from Monthly to Yearly
When switching from the monthly plan to the yearly plan, you will be billed immediately for the full amount of the new plan.
Your next payment date will then depend on which month of your subscription you were on:
- If you are on the first month of your monthly subscription, your next scheduled billing date will be a year from the day you switch. For example, if you switch on September 7th, 2021, your next payment date would be September 7th, 2022.
- If you are not on the first month of your monthly subscription, your next scheduled billing date will be the date of your upcoming monthly renewal plus one year. For example, if you switch on August 15th, 2021, and your upcoming monthly renewal is scheduled for August 28th, 2021, your next renewal date will be August 28th, 2022.
Switch from Yearly to Monthly
When switching from the yearly plan to the monthly plan, you will not be billed immediately.
Instead, your next renewal date will be set based on the current price of the monthly plan, how much you had paid in your last yearly bill, and how much time of that yearly period you have left in your account.
For example, if 6 months ago you paid $200 for a yearly plan, and you decide to switch to a monthly plan priced at $20/month, your next renewal date will be 5 months from now.
